Description Pebbleshine is more or less of average height and build, at least for her breed and sex. Her pelt is silver with black stripes and rosettes decorating her body in what twolegs would describe as the "bengal" pattern. Her eyes are a soothing leafy green, and nearly always seem to stare far off at something only she can see. Minor scratches from thorns and other environmental hazards sometimes mar her body, but she has yet to receive a permanent scar, mostly due to her position in the clan. Her movements are smooth and graceful and her body is quick and agile, but she lacks the strength and experience of a warrior.

Personality Pebbleshine has always been a little...odd. In an obvious way. She's always been a kind, caring cat, but she certainly has her quirks. From the way she nibbles on her food just a bit before gulping it down to the way she holds her legs while washing and even the way she picks herbs, one can tell that she's not quite normal. As a kit, she was easily distracted and often stared out into space even as cats talked to her. Sometimes she would hear, understand, and respond, and sometimes she had to be shaken out of whatever daydream had gripped her. She would play with her denmates, but she never seemed to enjoy the fighting and wrestling as much as the others, and often preferred to go off and explore on her own, instead. Then, there was her obsession with StarClan. She loved to discuss her warrior ancestors with the older cats and ask them whatever questions popped into her head, no matter the time or how busy the cat in question was.

Becoming a medicine cat helped somewhat. At the very least, memorizing all the herbs in the territory and their uses gave her mind something to focus on and she learned how to apply that focus elsewhere, so she doesn't space out quite as much as she used to. She still lets her gaze wander, but she's always listening even if she's not looking in her companion's direction. She's still less fond of wrestling and fighting than her clan mates, and she's even more obsessed with StarClan than she used to be, but - as a medicine cat - those traits tend to work in her favor. She only fairly recently ended her apprenticeship, however, and she still has trouble taking charge of a situation, using force when necessary to help a patient, and keeping up on her battle training. She also lacks the wisdom of most medicine cats, but she's slowly working on that, as each new experience teaches her something valuable.

History Pebbleshine was the only surviving kit born to an old RiverClan queen and an older tom that became an elder before she became an apprentice. She would be their final kit, as they were half sure it was their age that made her as quirky as she ended up being. She was a healthy, active kit, though, and dearly loved by both parents.
Pebblekit was an explorer, thinker, and daydreamer growing up. She loved to explore the camp and she what she could discover, and - once she learned about StarClan - she spent much of her time questioning her older clanmates on everything she could think of concerning her ancestors. She took what she could get while awake, and walked in the dreams of the older cats to try and get answers as she slept - an ability she figured everyone had until around her fifth moo when she discussed it with her mother and learned otherwise. Some cats were nice enough to answer her questions, others were annoyed, but Stormtail - the current medicine cat - actively encouraged her curiosity and answered everything the young kit would throw at her to the best of his ability. In turn, Pebblekit helped the medicine cat by sorting through the herb stores and retrieving whatever was needed to help a sick or injured clanmate. The two developed a strong bond, and - by the time Pebblekit became Pebblepaw, no one was surprised that she ended up apprenticed to the medicine cat.

Life as a medicine cat apprentice agreed with the young she-cat. Her mind absorbed all the information her mentor could throw at her - some things faster than others, but at an acceptable rate for an apprentice. As the moons went by, she seemed more and more able to focus, until she could easily hold a conversation. Stormtail's only complaint concerning her was her battle training, which she made no secret of hating. Battle moves were perhaps the hardest thing for the young she-cat to learn, and even now it's doubtful she could hold her own should she be forced to fight, try as she might to keep up and master the moves she'd been taught.

The moons went by and Pebblepaw grew up. A dream from StarClan - which Pebbleshine accidently eavesdropped on - told Stormtail that it was time to give her her medicine cat name. The ceremony was performed at the next half moon, and she became Pebbleshine.

Life was normal for two moons. After that, the two medicine cats were caught out of camp in a severe storm. As they ran back home, a heavy branch fell, narrowly missing Pebbleswipe but landing solidly on Stormtail, breaking many of his bones and rupturing vital organs. He was dead soon after, and Pebbleshine ran back to camp for help in transporting his body back to the camp. She sat with him all night and mourned for the next moon, until he appeared to her in a dream, younger and fitter than she had ever seen him.

Life from then until now has been a learning experience for Pebbleshine. She's a full medicine cat, but she's still young and working to acquire the wisdom she needs to ensure the survival of her clan. It's hard, often disgusting work, but she is determined to overcome every hardship in her way and become the medicine cat that RiverClan deserves.
