Pebbleshine stretched as she exited her den for the first time today. It was mid-morning, and many of her clanmates were already out and about – either on patrol or simply enjoying the sunny day. It would seem as if she had slept in, but she had been up since before dawn, sorting through her herb store. The various leaves, seeds, roots, and other medicines were still holding out, though she had had to toss some wilted leaves and petals and a bit of cobweb that had gotten dirty and lost its stickiness. Despite this, her supplies were mostly good. She was low on chervil and juniper berries, but – with any luck – that problem would be remedied by the end of the day.
Pebbleshine looked around as she padded through the camp, seeing which cats were around, if any. Should she ask for help in her herb gathering? More cats on the job meant more could be carried back at a time, but most warriors detested the job, and she didn’t want to impose. Although, she supposed, it wouldn’t hurt to ask.
If only she could find someone…

Thistlepelt lie stretched out in front of the warrior's den, long, spiky brown tabby fur pasted together with water, dripping in some places while dry in others. He had been fishing, and, unsurprisingly, towards the end of his hunt, he himself had ended up in the river, splashing about and scaring every fish within a two-mile radius. He had returned a few moments ago, throwing his catch in the fresh-kill pile before sprawling out and letting the warm sun do its work.
Upon seeing the Medicine Cat exit her den, he turned to her, ears flicking, golden eyes brightening. In moments, he had gotten to his paws and practically dashed to her side, paws thundering. "Pebbleshine!" he called cheerfully, completely intent to not stop soon enough and push the she-cat a bit, features mischievous as per usual.
Across the clearing, a lithe, almost too-small, ginger and white tom let out an exasperated sigh. "Really, Thistlepelt?" he grumbled, breaking away from the cats in his returning to patrol to trot leisurely across the clearing. Despite his annoyance, there was indeed a faint glimmer of amusement in his dark blue eyes upon seeing his dripping brother causing their friend grief, again, as per usual.

((Hi there! Thanks for responding. ^.^))
After a few moments she spotted Thistlepelt, sunning himself in front of the warrior’s den. He looked wet, as though he had just come back from a swim. The thought of a swim seemed especially appealing. Maybe she’d reward herself with one after she was done retrieving herbs.
He turned to her, and she barely had time to brace for impact before the collision. She stumbled back a couple steps and shook her pelt, purring with laughter. “I’m happy to see you too, Thistlepelt. How’s the water, today? I was thinking of taking a swim later.”
Another voice caught her attention and she turned to the ginger and white tom as he approached, her purrs growing louder. “Welcome back, Swiftwind. How was the patrol?”

Thistlefur's whiskers twitched slightly as he gave the she-cat a soft nuzzle. "It's lovely, just like you," he purred mischievously, golden eyes sparkling. It wasn't an unusual thing for the tom to do, and he certainly wasn't scared of his clanmates seeing him. It was all in good fun after all.
"Nice and boring, just like I like it," the ginger and white tom mewed with a dip of his head. His blue eyes narrowed into a sharp glare as his brother shook, splattering him with shining droplets.
"Oh, come on, you have no sense of adventure!" Thistlefur whined slightly, the closest thing to a pout that a tom of his stature could get pasted on his face. He reached out with a large paw to playfully cuff the larger tom, only to have him easily sidestep.
"So, what are you up to today?" Swiftwind mewed politely to his friend.

Pebbleshine purred at the compliment. “You realize you’re going to break a lot of hearts, acting like that?” She was never quite sure how to react to such statements. Instinct pushed her to respond in kind, but she was a medicine cat and thus forbidden to form romantic relationships. She knew the rule didn’t stop all medicine cats from pursuing a mate, but she herself intended to follow the code. It was hard, but she had always known what she was getting into, and the perks of the position were worth the sacrifices.
She nodded to Swiftwind as he answered and let out a mrow of laughter at Thistlefur’s response. “There’s adventure, and there’s trouble. I’m grateful to have peace for as long as it lasts.”
“Herb gathering,” she answered when Swiftwind asked what she was up to. “I’m low on chervil and juniper berries.” She looked from one tom to the other. “If either or both of you would like to join me, I’d be glad of the help.”
