Long ago, the old forest was destroyed by twolegs. They came with their terrible monsters and trapped cats to send away. StarClan chose four cats to save their Clans: Brambleclaw for ThunderClan, Feathertail for RiverClan, Crowfeather for WindClan, and Tawnypelt for ShadowClan. With the four came Squirrelflight, a companion for Brambleclaw, and Stormfur, Feathertail's brother.
Not everyone made it to their new home. Feathertail died on the journey back to the forest. A ShadowClan apprentice named Smokepaw fell to his death. Stormfur decided to stay with the Tribe of Rushing Water with his mate, Brook Where Small Fish Swim. The remaining cats found a home in the lake, where they prospered for seasons upon seasons, until the old forest was lost in legends and myths.
Then the twolegs returned. They'd found the Clans and brought their monsters back, now with dogs to sniff the cats out and chase them away. The Clans starved, and more cats than last time died. Their numbers dwindled until there weren't enough warriors to feed the survivors. Soon, StarClan sent a sign for the Clans to leave, or else they'd face destruction. Now they've found a new home. But how long will it last? Will the twolegs find them again? Who knows?
